First off, sorry for the thread title...but if Matchbox can make this grievous error, so can I. Secondly, kudos to Matchbox for reissuing this toy, hopefully it gets more kids interested in our odd little corner of classic VW’s.
On to some pics:
And the comparison to an original (noted as no.67, Volkswagen 1600TL)
The differences would indicate that Matchbox did not use the same tooling as the original. |

I saw the title of this thread and was just heating up a can of whoopass when you had to spoil my fun.

I was waiting for you... have you not seen the Hot Wheels squares? Early pic on the card, late model body and labeled as a 69
