You gotta take all that hardware off if you are going that far - otherwise its really half-azzed.

Yes. Everything is coming out. I left the windows to keep the inside clean and honestly just didn’t get around to the handles by the time I had a chance to take it to the sand blaster. I don’t actually think I’ll be doing much to the interior other than seat covers so again, I left the glass in for blasting. Next step is to remove glass and door handles and latches. From there I’ll tape up window openings with paper and then remove the paint that was missed at sand blaster. I’m hoping to get the etch primer on Thursday when temperatures will touch 60 degrees. I don’t want to apply the primer too cold. |

Moving right along.
I started to repair the rust above the rear wheel and well, as you all know, one thing led to another and I ended up replacing the quarter panel and corner. You can see that on this thread. TONS of work.
All body work and metal work is done. I just shot high build primer. Next step is to paint the inside of the front doors (they have this really weird scaling in the paint that looks nasty). From there I'll finish blocking the outside. I am still undecided if I will shoot the color but at this point, I figure I've come this far I might as well do it myself.
Corner/quarter thread.

As it sits now.

Getting real close to driving! I think I’ll drop the rear just a tad more.

At this point I’m just documenting it for myself I guess!
Seats redone, interior cleaned up.

Are you going to put some new flower decals on it? _________________ If your into busses youve got issues and you likely don´t know it yet. - El_Güero

Thanks y’all. I’m pretty happy with it. Getting alignment tomorrow then I can work out a few bugs and drive it!
Won’t be redoing the flower stickers! I did save one sticker though. For some reason it just felt like it needed to stay.

There are still people building small aircraft with type 1 and type 4 engines. Just got an engine from a guy who is flying a type 4 powered airplane. _________________ If your into busses youve got issues and you likely don´t know it yet. - El_Güero

Cruising all weekend with the fam! Fun times!
Bumpers are mocked up for over riders but need to be re painted. For now I’m going to drive it for a bit and take a break from the garage. Real happy so far.

My “car mentor” who got me into cars 25 years ago when I was 13 got word that I was getting close to being done. He surprised me with a visit in his daily driver vette (he’s never owned a “modern” car). Figured it was worth a photo after the drive.

MY “break from the garage” lasted one tank of gas. Turns out there was a bad/flat lifter. I had my local shop build me a 1915 with dual kadrons. I used vintage speed exhaust with j tubes. Runs amazing. While it was out I prepped and painted the engine bay. Wow what a difference!

Repainted my bumpers and installed all new rubber and over riders. Also made a new carpet mat for the rear. Terrible pictures with the shadows but I’ll get some more next time I have it out.
I’m “done” for the most part. With the major stuff anyway. Moving onto little things like kick panels and odds and ends.
