I am finding numerous vendors selling Grant "made in the USA" piston rings for stock 1600. I know it's a name that's been around for years...but

Anyone know if these are cast top rings?

Any experience with them lately?

Seal easy?

Longevity?

Berg carries the Grant rings for 85.5 pistons. Call them and ask your questions.

They are available in cast and chrome top ring.
Need to look at the part number to see what it is.

Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a cast set. Since this is a re-ring I'm afraid I cant get the correct surface to seat a chrome ring.

I used some 5 months ago. Cast, and I did a simple hone with fine grit to get a cross-hatch back, a bit of sanding, good wash.

I installed the almost dry, and they seem to have seated almost instantly. They have the reputation of seating quick.
