Ok so my 1972 is running a 34 pict-4 when it should be a 34 pict-3. The -4 causes it to be delayed or slower but it runs ok with it. I put a new EMPI -3 on it and tuned it to the start setting. Once the engine is warm tho it will stall with the -3. Anyone know why I cant get it to work? _________________ -----------------------------------------

After warmup you should adjust the big screw
on the left side for idle speed, small for mixture _________________ CARRY ON

The new Empi is from China and probably has shavings/debre clogging jets or if you mean it stalls when you push on the gas it's your acc. pump adjustment, move it towards + ('r' side near alt./gen.). |

My '60 bus came with an EMPI 34 PICT-3 that I couldn't tune. I found that the o-rings on the bypass and mixture screws weren't sealing so I replaced them. The carb now tunes up easily and runs much better. _________________ Joey
