I currently have my engine out for some routine maintenance and would like to check the endplay. I do not own a dial indicator and I'm wondering if the tool in this link is worthy?
https://vwparts.aircooled.net/Crankshaft-and-Flywheel-End-Play-Tool-p/end-play-tool.htm
My concern is that there may some ambiguity in using feeler gauges to determine the reading.
If a dial indicator is considered far superior, I'd love some suggestions on what may be a good one to purchase online. _________________ '78 Westy - 2.0 FI |

Thanks for the correction. I used to be a nice guy, then I ruined it by exposing myself to the public. |
