Had a rear cargo door latch that only worked on one side.

Started by uncrimping the riveits. After the back popped of with a little force.

Pulling the back off I found one of the pins had broken off. Likely from being forced.

I used a thin cutoff wheel the remove the head from the shaft. It taps out quite easily once enough is ground away.

Cleaned up the parts and could see the plate and pin were bent.

Fixed them up and drove the pin back in the hole. Welded the back and ground smooth.

Then reassemble the shaft, welded and ground flat.

Dry fit the parts without the springs to make sure it would work.

Assembling the parts with the springs is a pain. Springs like to fly away if you don't hold them.

Finished assembling and pushed the back on and clamped. Used a punch to spread the rivets and then used a socket to flatten them. Not as strong as new but the mounting screws will hold it together.

Worked great.

Nicely done, should be added to bus FAQ's.

What he said ^^^^ and in a weird way I kinda hope one of mine breaks someday so I can use these killer repair threads to refer to. I even have that same drift.
