My Kombi was built on Sep 20th 1954. I believe VW used to do model year changes at end Dec but then switched to August. Just curious as to whether my kombi is a 54 or a 55.
Are there any model differences on kombi’s between the two years?

Your kombi is a '54. VW changed this on August '55
