I've owned my 84 Vanagon Westfalia for about a year now. The 1.9L is approaching the threshold of needing a rebuild. I'm very interested in the Bostig kit. I was curious if anyone in the Portland area that has done the conversion, would be willing to chat with me about their experience with the company and the installation itself? |

Hi. I don't know anyone personally, but there are two Facebook groups that would probably give you more exposure for a response.
There's also a really good article here: https://www.vanagon.org/bostig-review _________________ 89 Westy 2.1 Auto |

Thank you for the response!
signing up for Facebook may be unavoidable if I decide to go the Bostig route. |

The Bostig site at fb is pretty helpful. I haven't been there for a few years because I dislike fb but when I did visit there were good people with good information.
There are several solid Bostig threads here:

Try asking on the Portland Vanagons FB group. We're pretty active, or NW Dubs has a lot of Vanagon owners (Along with other sortsa VWs) and are awesome people who will answer questions. |
