I've owned my 84 Vanagon Westfalia for about a year now. The 1.9L is approaching the threshold of needing a rebuild. I'm very interested in the Bostig kit. I was curious if anyone in the Portland area that has done the conversion, would be willing to chat with me about their experience with the company and the installation itself?

Hi. I don't know anyone personally, but there are two Facebook groups that would probably give you more exposure for a response.

There's also a really good article here: https://www.vanagon.org/bostig-review

Thank you for the response!
signing up for Facebook may be unavoidable if I decide to go the Bostig route.

The Bostig site at fb is pretty helpful. I haven't been there for a few years because I dislike fb but when I did visit there were good people with good information.

There are several solid Bostig threads here:

Try asking on the Portland Vanagons FB group. We're pretty active, or NW Dubs has a lot of Vanagon owners (Along with other sortsa VWs) and are awesome people who will answer questions.
