I generally don't like customs at all but I like those features for some reason. |

That will work. Paint the whole car?
BTW did you ever see one of the Emerson Fittipaldi Beetle race cars? Another concept for fresh air intake. |

Paint entire car yes....but will expose some areas on the hood to display the carbon fiber. Also plan to modify some bumper blades and overlay real carbon to them as well as to my homemade running boards. They will be partially painted in that same Nardo Grey. |

Actually some cool ideas. Looks like some finish work definitely needed, but cool ideas. Might be a better look to remove the bumpers altogether or weld up some panels to fill the gap between. Hell, maybe just use later bumpers. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

I will be using black silicone in place of the normal fender beading to get the flush look. Still undecided on taillights but looking at some type of flush mounted motorcycle taillights like this:

I’m thinking about modifying some stock bumper blades by taking a few inches off the ends, pulling them closer to the body and adding a small lip spoiler. |

What will it be worth in 30 years compared to a bone stock 67? |

What will it be in 30yrs...depends on who’s buying! Gas powered vehicles may be banned from onroad usage by then! I live in the here and now and I’ve been offered more for my incomplete 67 as it sets in the above pixs than I can buy any ready to drive bone stock 67 that is not a museum piece. Check samba most are under $7500 and the 2 that are over $15000 and I would not buy for that price.
If a bone stock 67 is valued over $75k in 30yrs and I live that long then I will one of many who wishes they still had it or left well enough alone.
There are a lot of one-off items, additions, and handmade items that can’t be purchased off the self like most modified dubs I see at any show. My next upgrade(to me anyway) will be a set of Porsche Boxter 4 piston calipers and rotors for the rear.
Now to the question of the fenders and lights! The fenders are all steel that have been widened 1”. I had to purchase a 2nd set of fenders to use the headlight sections welded to the 1st set to allow the installation of the Porsche 993 headlights. |

Almost done with the wife’s home remodeling projects and in about 30 days I get to get back on my 20 yr old project!
*finish running boards
*create custom bumpers out of stock 67 blades with carbon fiber overlay
*front/rear turn signals
*removable apron
*1st gen miata mirrors
*porsche boxster rear brembos
Finished in Porsche GT Silver like this⬇️

I have to ask what headlights did you use and they look great recessed into the fenders like that. Very clean. |
