Does anyone have a template for the 2wd fuel filler neck hole. It is the slotted hole like this.

Thanks way in advance.

Ron

My money is on a filler for a diesel tank for his new heater.....

Ron,

If you still need one I can pull the filler of my euro bus project and make a template to send you. Let me know.

That would really be helpful. I’m surprised there is not one in the community available. Once I get one I will make it so.

Thanks so much.

Ron

PS. It’s for an auxiliary fuel tank to get weight off the back using RotoPax.

If you cannot find it I will trace mine.

Funny, I thought about welding mine up, but pack ratted enough parts to have a filler ready to go if I ad an auxiliary tank some day.

The best that I can measure, the diameter of the inner circle tips are 125mm and the diameter of the largest outer circle is 133mm.

If Syncrodoka can scan the traced sketch and email that scan to me, I'll put it in cad and post.

Here it is in AutoCAD scaled so the outer circle is 133mm in diameter and the inner is 125mm in diameter. You'd have to reference the prior pictures of the cutout on the van to get the rotation correct.

PM your e-mail address for a pdf that will print it out to scale. I would recommend card stock and make sure the scale for printing is set to 100%.

Thanks again to all of you.

The CAD file should be in the archives for others.

Thanks everyone. I have the tank installed and the template was perfect. The smallest notch goes directly at the bottom. Once you spin plastic filler housing it will be perfectly straight.

Are you using this for a diesel tank for the heater? I ask because im doing the samething using my existing 2wd fuel port on my converted syncro. I ordered a chinese plastic gas tank to play around with. Curious what youre up to Ron Popcorn

I’m planning to fabricate another aluminum tank to store fuel for the diesel heater on the drivers side. So I will be doing this again.

Yes, (3)three. Everyone is coming up with different ideas for heater fuel storage. I have a 2.5 gal tank that replaced my propane saddle tank. So I’m planning to make a System that’s easy to fill and use.
