I was in Phoenix on business today and decided to stop by The Thing Shop so I could see where all my extra cash is going . What an amazing place and a great bunch of people! The inventory they have is unbelievable- much more than what is on their website. I saw a lot of items that I wish I had called them about sooner!
They definitely have a passion for the business and it’s nice to see a family based business like that be a success. Somehow I managed to get out of there without a huge new order, but I definitely saw some things that got me planning...
My compliments to them on an amazing operation and their high level of service. |

Great to hear. _________________ It's not the size of your shop, it's what comes out of it that counts.
I've been playing with my thing ever since I got it... |

I had planned a Thing Shop tour while on my epic Thing journey from Detroit to LA last Summer. Unfortunately the timing didn't work out and i missed the opportunity.
About a month later, I enjoyed an interesting chat with Larry while he was visiting KTE in Flat Rock, NC.
Larry is a very nice guy; knowledgeable and approachable.
I hope to see him again this year at KTE 2019. |

I encourage people to call a business if they can't find something on a website, if nothing else you can develop a person rapport with the employees and/or owner Never know when that can come in handy. |

I have always wanted to do that. Larry has always been helpful and actually gets on the phone to talk with customers is fantastic! |

I stopped by the Thing Shop a couple of years ago and given a tour. Was impressed by all the stock and organization. Not really set up as a retail storefront but had many neat displays. _________________ Walküre Restoration Thread: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=737492 |
