I have been trying to pay attention when I post and if I am hitting post, then return, or just clicking the (return to forum button).
I have not come up with any reason why so many posts double up. My new habit after I make a post is to close down the samba tab, and go back in real quick to see if it double posted. It does about 1/4 of the time, and I quickly delete one of them.
Has anyone figured out what causes a double post?

All I know is if you post from a "smart" phone you can't preview or it will post. You can only submit. That's how i found out. So if you pre iew then submit you get 2.

Why don't you post this to forum/site? It isn't Bay Window related

Really... I can't see why that would happen from how it works behind the scenes but I will check it out.

I have had people say their phones double post sometimes, not sure why or if they were doing preview or not.

Longer thread
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=575577

This an another thread indicated people were hitting "Back" after posting and it would do a double post when they did that.
Don't hit Back if you are doing that. Smile

Still double posting....and it is happening to many people. It has gotten so bad that EVERY post I make is doubled and I have to go back and edit one out. I have even tried to sneak up on the SUBMIT box and tap it very, very quick, only to have it register a duplicate post, every time.

I don't know what to say other than it's your device doing it somehow.

Or you are double-clicking the Submit button, which I think could cause it if you did it fast enough.

There is actually a thing that prevent you from posting again for X number of seconds:
Flood Interval
Number of seconds a user must wait between posts
It's set to 5 seconds

I hit it sometimes if I have multiple tabs open and try to post in 2 threads at once too fast.

For what it's worth, I preview all the time on my Samsung S7 and it has never double-posted.
