So I we for this bug last week. Have been going through it slowly Running and stopping. When we turn the wheels the tires rub the body and opposite tire hits the bumper. Seems to have upgraded 5 bolt rotors. Don’t believe it’s widened and seems to be stock size arms. We’d like to get this going to go have some fun but also want to keep this as a long term ongoing project. Thoughts of a quick fix? I’m thinking wheel spacers or adapters to accommodate a different lug pattern. But I’ve heard of both breaking, especially off reading it. A wheel with a better spacing? Wider arms, but I think that would need longer tie rods and brake lines. Or a wider beam? I’d hate to spend $ twice when it would be fixed or addressed now. But the work could be longer and fun would have to wait. Any thoughts?

You either need to lift the front by a lot to gain some clearance or get some smaller tires for the front. Smaller tires will get you having some fun sooner and cheaper.

I'd hate to see you take the big tires off the front as they look good & match the rear tires, which is correct for a Baja Bug. I'd get out your welding torch or take it to a Muffler Shop and adjust the bumper & inner fender well for more clearance.
