Is there a type 4 distributor or are they interchangeable? I figure interchangeable because I cant find any specifically type 4 and nothing on the forums, but just thought I would ask. |

Most people use a svda or 009
Nothing super specific for type 4 use.
They did obviously come with a type 4 distributor, idk what it was, but I'd guess a 034. Someone will come along and inform you I'm sure, or search the site a bit and I'm sure you'll find it.
Sweet bus btw! _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP

I didnt mean type of distributor I just wanted to make sure the 009 I had in a bug will go into the type 4 engine in the bus. It has a svda but no vacuum to hook up to. |

Looks like you're having fun!
In the cab area, is your overhaead fresh air box smooth... or does it have three long pressed ribs (about half inch wide) going front to back of the air box?
(Looks smooth to me, from here)

Hahaha this has so many good upgrades in it, I have some plans for it also, but I have to fix all the stuff and upgrade and replace everything they didnt do or tired a shortcut (nothing major) but little things like svda but no vacuum to run the vacuum part. |

More for my Frankenbus as I try to fix it up and find more interesting items about. So the rear door is 57 but the bottom of the rear cargo space is a from an older bus.
The previous owner put in a custom handle but it rattles so I wanted to fix this issue, now I know why. 57 door, 70's door catch so now I will have to design and 3d print something to work. |
