3 years since it was first 'built' and I use that term loosely, it's finally back together! Hoping it lasts longer than a dyno session this time.

Been working on wiring and some other bits and pieces and the to do list is getting considerably shorter day by day so I'm nearly there.

Gauge panel fitted and all wired in

Wiring loom for the engine management all done and routed through the same locations as the main loom. I've a panel on the floor opposite the battery where the ecu and relays will bolt down on.

All cleaned up underneath while the body was in the air.

New firewall kit and regulator and coil pack mounted on the firewall.

Hopefully get the body and pan together over next couple of days, after that it's fingers crossed everything works when I hook it all up.

Thanks dude it's been long time coming together and has taken 5 years to collect all the parts I have for it, actually longer, I first bought the wheels almost 15 years ago! It better be worth it Wink

Doing it all myself has been satisfying too as I hadn't a clue when I started the project and I've had to wing most of it. It's my first engine build and first time doing anything with efi and the necessary wiring and plumbing that goes with it.

If you want something done right though I've learned that you have to do it yourself.

Gonna test the fuel system tomorrow and provided there's no leaks then I can bolt the body down. Will probably fit the engine to the gearbox first too, as should be easier than trying to juggle it in later.

Should get to drive it tomorrow I hope, bringing the car up to bugbitz in Armagh where Dave will help me get a base map sorted. I'll put a few miles on it then before hitting a dyno for a full mapping session.

Ok... So a pan off restoration on this particular cream-puff survivor would not have been my first guess. Very Happy

Awesome work on an awesome car!

I'll let you in on a secret, I pulled the body to put it on my 69 pan which was already molested to fit dual fuel lines and mid mount brackets. Saved molesting 2 cars and I get to keep the 70 pan intact with matching numbers engine and gearbox. I'll restore it to stock as time progresses.

Super cool what you have done to the car.

Thanks dude!

9 hour return trip to see Dave today, got a base map sorted, learned a lot about mapping and the engine didn't blow up Cool

Gonna dump the oil and check valve lash in the morning and hopefully take it out for a drive.

Wow! Barry, hard to believe that's the same car I shipped.

I'm happy to see you're enjoying it.

Hi Leslie how are you? The car sure looks different, its amazing what a good cleaning did for it. I knew it was a good one from the first pics I saw of it, now you can see why I was so keen to make sure I got it.

I can't thank you enough for your help, you made me feel totally at
ease and I knew the car was in good hands right from the get go with you. You're a diamond Leslie and I hope you are keeping well.

Ps the key tag you left on the key is in the glovebox and will stay there forever.

Here's the bug the day it left your place I believe
