One final thought...you might consider moving this thread to the performance engines section. You'll find a lot of knowledgeable builders and machinists who would be happy to have some input on your build. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

That'a where I spend 97% of my time in, but I figured Vanagon peeps would be more versed in the particular quirks. I was right. No one over there knows the REAL WBX. I think the hot ticket for performance WBX applications is to air cool the cylinders, but water cool the heads. _________________ Casey--
