So you're saying 22 years of parts hunting is a few too many? Confused

ISP is back on track on the Ghia this week. Alex says the body will come off the pan before the end of the year. The Type 3 Rally is the goal, and if they can get the paint done by early spring so I can get going on reassembly it just might happen. Stay tuned!

22 years Scott? 28 years+ for me now on the 'S'.

In fact I was purchasing NOS parts for that car from the age of 13 so it's 30 years of buying and selling to get the car to where it's about to be built.

So some good news 1500ers. The notchback body shell is now in high build primer and seam sealer applied as per original. But.... I am not happy with VW did with the original seam sealer application so additional material has been applied since these photo's were taken just because I will never get the opportunity to do it again later (I hope not anyway).

The body will be back home with me within another week or so. All repairs were carried out as per my requirements- NOS rear apron to replace slightly bent original, all extra holes (about half a dozen) welded up and a general tickle all over. This was an outstandingly good original body to begin with but it did need attention here and there to get it to the same level as my black 1500 (the black car was metal finished about 20 years ago now with zero filler and is still perfect).

I expect I will start to upload images more in 2017 as it materialises.

Oh and on a side note. Of The cars I know.

Scott is #1 on getting his shit going. His 62 has been in limbo as long as this club has been active.%uck longer. Laughing Ever since Ive known you! And it was X old when we met??? Confused Thats right Im callin you out bro.

Second place id you Gregg. Fuck you win the most pragmatic award. Shit or get off the pot! Your t34 has got to be gold plated by now? Do you want to actually drive a T34 before you die? God dahm! Rolling Eyes Put hat car on the road. I only give Scott slightly more sit as I know him better Wink But the two of you for christ sake take the cake.

After the two of you I can only think of my involvement with Tram. We love to hate. Someday by God there will be a T34 1964 Anthracite Vert. Or Ill have a blow out on parts after Tram is dead. One or the other God damn it! Shit gona happen.

Send your stuff to the T3 Factory. Where the sOcAl sun will work magic on your T3 - add a little patrone and Carne Asada and you gots a driver. Flip flops optional.

This is to prove Jason's point. I spent hours trying to get my rear drum off my 63 square. Our amigo Pedro calls me to say "I'm making a tool to get that drum off. Next day, BAM. He rolls over with the tool and puts it to work. No challenge too big, that's how he finished his t34 in 18 months.

This is called "Mexican Ingenuity" Pedro is a perfect example of that! In Mexico, we fix and repair, toasters, irons, hairdryers and such. We learn to work with what we have He applies this skill to everything he does. You Go Pedro!

That's beautifully done. Not to many big button glove box early squares out there.

Funny thing is the reflection of the car next to his makes it look like the drivers side paint is all scrapped up.
