After having changed the floor pans on a 1951 Karmann convertible I am now reassembling the chassie. With the emergency brake rod correctly connected to the brake lever and with the nose end coming correctly through the forward bracket I have found that the rod rides quite significantly on the top of the bracket installed in the tunnel just behind the pedal assembly. The rod is perfectly straight and the bracket seems very solid. Anyone having information about whether this is correct or not?

Thank you "a1steaksauce". I appreciate this information. Obviously this is how it should be.
