|
|
Hey all,
I have an EJ22 '85 Westy that overall is fantastic—but lately, I've been experiencing some odd bogginess/lag that almost feels like clutch slip between 2-3k especially when hard accelerating and going uphill. There are no obvious vacuum leaks, and I'm hesitant to drop the transaxle to inspect the clutch, etc. Any other low hanging fruit I should look into before I lose a weekend wrestling out the transaxle? I should probably stop driving my bus like a Porsche on mountain roads, but old habits die hard!
Thanks! _________________ //JS |

What year ej22?
How many miles on the engine?
State of tune?
Clutch slipping is obvious; engine rpm increases, vehicle speed doesn’t. |

It's an OBD1 EJ22, 90-94 (CA Smog Legal).
It actually died this morning, I think it may have been the fuel pump... _________________ //JS |
