First, yes, I have read the official dual weber 'how to' thread.
Also posted this on the engine forum.
Setup is going on a newly built stock 1600DP
New weber 40 idf with manifolds and hex bar linkage. Installation is no issue and I have worked on dual weber side drafts in my Alfa Romeos, so somewhat familiar with the territory.
This is my first go round with brand new out of the box carbs so want to know what I don't know about setting these up prior to install. Absolutely no information or insight unwelcome, would rather have too much info than miss something important or helpful.
For example, should I plan to look inside and check float levels and cleanliness?
What screws or jets should be preset or changed?
Any input greatly appreciated. |

Got mine from aircooled.net and paid for set up to match my motor...where'd you get them from?
40s are going to be large for a 1600, you will need small venturis and jets to get the tune right, email [email protected] and he can make some recommendations. _________________ '56 pan Dune Buggy since '69

First thing you do is to take them apart and "CLEAN" every aspect of them....
40's an a 1600 will work... Just as mentioned above smaller ventures and leaner jetting..
