I was in a pinch, ended up putting a hole in my muffler (dont ask how...) so I ordered an Empi brand muffler through CIP1, (Part # c13-3666.) It came in today and when I went to mount it up to my headers, it was too small and rotated slightly. I don't know what brand header/muffler was on it, there are no markings anywhere. pic included of the header flange. My question is, does anybody know 1. what brand header this is, and 2. what muffler will mount up? Really don't want to spend the money and buy an Empi header as well, I know they don't have the best reputation. This is on my 1971 westfalia type 1 engine.

you probably bought a bug muffler. They don't clock properly on many T1 buses.

Take the bus and the parts to a muffler shop. They'll fix you up

There were lots of brands of headers back in the day, They seemed to all use one of two different size header collector header flanges, large and small. Aeromech is dead on right, take all your parts, new and old, and your bus of course, to the muffler shop, and they can put it all together.

Thought I would also add that while you have it apart, upgrade your gasket. That is a chevy 3 bolt small collector flange, unknown to many. You can get aluminum gaskets in the aisle at Autozone that will literally last forever and not blow out. Good luck.

P.S. they look just like this and are in a clam shell package in the shopping aisles (not behind their counter) at your local autozone.
