Here is the material that's going be used for the seats and armrests, the color and theme is kind of reminiscent of the Riviera colors and the plaid reminds us of the Westy

First one is done second pattern is cut. Looking nice.

Before

We scraped all the old foam then used an orbital sander to level out

Then test fit one box was almost exact

Then we cut down and installed the boards

Went as smooth as expected next assembled the first seat and installed

Will post a final photo with both seats and cabinets back in

Pretty happy with results, the seat back cushion is a little big which provides a tight fit

Glowshift water temp gauge is temp mounted here, does anyone know what kind of tool to cut the gauge delete panel to the right of the speedo? I would like to eventually move the water temp gauge there.

Took it out on the road to test temps, 13 mile trip in fourth gear temps holding steady. We are making progress getting it ready for a trip!

Next projects are straightening out the final kinks in the cooling system and cleaning up the outside appearance. Thinking about polishing the out side with a mild cutting compound. Do you think the paint is solid enough to do this? Notice the bare spot on the rear, would that be easy to touch up with a can paint until we can get a good paint job done on it?

You could relocate the gauge on the dash to under the dash and easily attach it with one of the factory screws there. This would cut down on the windshield glare.

Wash it, compound it, wax it and run it as is. I wouldn’t paint it unless you plan on going all in, removing every exterior part and all the windows.

No real harm in scuffing, priming, and painting that spot. But make sure you prep, prep, and more prep. Or do some farmers protection and just apply a thin layer of grease every once in a while.

Cold night in fall, feels more like winter but the bus is running well.

Testing out electric ceramic heater, its keeping the bus very comfortable in the winter

Ordered a new mount for a small TV, we will have this holding a 22" 12V LED TV eventually

Mounted the 12V TV up, it fits perfectly

Next step on the journey, PO had the incorrect type tires and the sidewalls look like they will blow out soon. I ordered a set of the proper rated tires which are the Hankook Vantra RA18 185 R14's

Just a quick update, things are coming along well. Hankooks are mounted up and its much easier to drive now!

We have finished the top bunk, looks much better than it did:

Completed more of the interior to match, inside is about 90% complete now.
