Is there a shop in Maryland (perhaps near Annapolis) that you would recommend for Vanagon repairs/maintenance? Also, are there any members near Annapolis? It would be nice having a fellow Vanagon owner near by.
Are there any reputable Maryland shops that has repaired seam rust? The sealer in some of my seams are cracking and I need them repaired correctly before potentially driving in it the rain. |

There's a place at Wye Mills, across the Bay Bridge from you. Lots of Vanagons on the grounds. Dick's, I think the name is. I can't actually recommend the place because it was closed when we found it on the way back from a Canada trip but it sure looks like a VW place.

naptown huh? yeah, taking a trip over the bridge to Dick's might be the best option for having someone else do the work. if i were still down there, i'd offer to drink your beer and offer advice on how not to do things _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL Camper

There is a place in Annapolis called Tiffs. Apparently, the owner had 4 Vanagon throughout his life and knows them very well. But, it may be worth it just to drive across the bridge to Dick's.
haha exchanging beer for advice would be fair! |

If you look a further out, Mark1 VWs is in Frederick County. There is also AutoCentro in Rockville. There is a place in Severna Park also, I think.
Alaric H. is across the river in Northern Virginia. _________________ 1984 Vanagon GL

Dick's is good for modern VWs, but he lost all his vanagon techs. I had to find others to fix what Dick's did to mine. Stay away from Dick's.
Ayd in Dundalk has vanagons and buses at his place regularly. He's worked on them for a long time. Joe in Severna Park is also good. |

Cool to see you guys drinking beer and stuff.
Kinda on topic, we were getting gas in Parker around the time of Buses by the Bridge -- in I think '18. A guy from Maryland came up to bus chat, I mentioned Dobryan and he knew him. Wondering now if that guy at the gas station is one of you on this thread... _________________ ‘84 Westy, 2.1L with Digijet, 5.43 R+P, GT Gears

Oh crap! I've got to keep a lower profile....
That was likely Mike and Michele. They live in MD in the summer and in the desert in CA in the winter. BBB is on the way I believe. _________________ Dave O

Just don't search for either that garage or sporting goods at dicks .com (link deliberately broken, NSFW)
My wife tried that site in front of my mother once, and it was an interesting experience. _________________ .ssS! |

I once tried to buy BigNature .com to sell giant photo prints.
