New rebuilt engine, 30 Pic 1 carb (my choice).. But using existing wires, seem correct? Thanks, there's a red wire coming out next to the wiring harness it seems to go to the dash somewhere?

That leaves a wire to go to the oil pressure sending unit.

NO, the wire going to the carb is providing 12V. The wire going to the oil pressure sending unit is a ground wire. When the oil sending unit has oil pressure pushing on it, it actually opens or turns the switch off. When there is no oil pressure, the switch in the sending unit closes, and provides a ground for the oil idiot light. I have looked at this picture:

There is a blue wire connected to the positive side of the coil. From the factory, the oil sending unit wire is blue. So, unless the wiring has been hacked up, I "believe" that wire should go to the oil pressure sending unit. However, you will have to trace it to make sure. Do you have an ohm meter, or continuity checker? It will make your life a whole lot easier if you do.

If the car has or had a tachometer, the red wire is most likely the signal wire for it.

This simplified diagram from Speedy Jim's site shows everything downstream from the single black #15 wire coming out of the harness and going to the #15 (+) terminal of the ignition coil.

It does NOT show the blue/green wire from the OIL indicator lamp in the speedo. This additional wire comes out from the harness and connects to the terminal on the oil pressure switch below the distributor.
