Over the last couple of weeks I've developed an engine Rattle,
I can't seem to pinpoint where it's coming from,

Also it goes away under load.

Things I've checked :

Took the fan belt off.
Checked for loose tins
Set valves
Checked rocker side play on the left side.
(I have a csp python which makes checking the right side a nightmare)

Check for the pulley tin rubbing on the back of the pulley.

I have a rattle driving me nuts too and I think I narrowed it down to that.

I was just out in the garage loosening the engine tin bolts to push that piece back a little more.

I do have Mario's Crank Trigger in back and that is what would rub first on my aluminum pulley.

I will be out testing it this afternoon. It would drive me nuts if I have to listen to that all the way to California and back in 18 more days.....

If it was the pulley rubbing the engine tin you'd probably have metal filings/dust around the engine bay.

I've checked the pulley and it's not rubbing the tin

Missing spring in distributor drive gear?

Does it change noise when you push in the clutch?

Try to locate noise using mechanic's stethoscope or a long screw driver to your ear?

Noise stays the same wit clutch depressed or otherwise.

I should also note there is no loss of power what so ever, no shaking, no obvious problems, its pretty quick

It doesn't really sound like fan or shroud, but... Can you get a hand around to the back side of fan shroud? (i.e. Front of car.) Not while engine is running, of course, but feel around the fan and check for anything caught between it and shroud or rubbing on shroud? Also, with engine idelling and hands at top or either side of shroud, is rattle affected by putting push/pull force on shroud?

I've already checked for a loose shroud, also ran it without the fan belt, also checked the oil cooler doghouse tin on the front of the shroud.

I've thought about that, it does hit a little, but is more of a thud every once in a while, the Rattle goes away under load

Cam gear failure?
I had it on my engine, new cam gear that was out of round. It was eaten by the steel gear on the crank and start to make some noise on idle only after 300km.

Thanx it's worth checking, I've got about 10.000 km on this cam now.
I will pull the oil pump if it's not the dist drive or fuel pump.

Fn wierd!
It sounds like you have possibly two things going on there.

Have you checked the rocker side play? I have that going on on my engine ATM.
It's a high metallic ticking sound.
I'm gonna fix that while the engine is our for a trans change.

Like you said. The sound persists with the fan belt removed.
Victor mentioned the crank pulley rubbing on the tins. I have that too. When the(aluminum) pulley rubs it makes dust. I have never had a stocker rub on the tin. But I imagine it would make a similar kinda screeching sound. Like in the video.

Good Luck.

I've just been out checking the distributer and fuel pump,

I checked the timing first, I have it set to 7.5 - 28-30 ish
I then removed the dist, no play on dist shaft, spring is in the drive gear, couldn't really feel any play on the drive gear(not sure how to check it's kinda tight in there) checked the fuel pump mounting nuts, they where not very tight, so I tightened them, I reset my timing and LBI on the carbs, I kicked up the idle speed to 900 from 800 and it seems a little bit less rattely, it still rattles though, I guess I'm pulling the oil pump next.

Unless you're particularly fond of pulling your oil pump and resealing it, I'd get a mechanics stethoscope or even just a piece of hose and try to find where its coming from. Yeah it sounds bad, but everyone here is just going to be throwing out guesses since we don't know where it's coming from. Have you checked the 1/2 side valve train yet? Idk about you but I'd rather pull a muffler off than pull an oil pump.

Look under the pulley down by the drain hole at the bottom ... - something shiny down there ?
Looks like in the video.
In my case it would be a screwdriver or a 10mm socket.
