I found this pic in the gallery of the screw/jet in question & i'm trying to find out if this goes under the plunger (vertically) or if it goes in the other side under the emulsion tube (horizontally)? I mixed the two up & all i can find are grainy pics of little unidentifiable screws... This is a Zenith 32 NDIX

Yes the diagram is pretty bad isn't it. It looks like the part shown above is labeled 101 in the diagram below. It's clearly a check valve.
The enrichment circuit emulsion tube jet is labeled 75 below and has no ball, it's a jet. Note: (The Enrichment Circuit Emulsion Tube was not peasant on Porsche Dual Zeniths) however the jet was used.
I have an old NDIX-32 carb here and tried screwing the jet into the valve hole but it starts to bottom out before it's tight. Probably care should be taken to not do that.
I'm pretty sure the part you show above is 101, the accelerator pump inlet check valve.

That's the accelerator pump check valve. It screws up into the carb body near the throttle stop. |
