Well done Brandon, we've been thinking of doing that very thing.

We bought an LED strip light from Home Depot that runs behind the full length of the "spice rack" above the stove. Changes colors or one color, totally boss.

Stranger Things Spoiler alert: In Season 5 Argyle upgrades from a tin top to a Westy delivery van.

Sorry I haven't update this thread much. EJ22e conversion has been running great. The transaxle was rebuilt earlier this year. New GT 4th gear and a Peloquin LSD added.

Starlink antenna mounted to the roof.

Some other upgrades:
025 Motorsport 711 shifter
Slaughterhouse EPAS electric power-assisted steering
Used Gary Lee rack
T3 Technique Beefy swaybar with HD links
Fiamma F45s awning installed (bought new for $600 Facebook score)

Baja is on the radar for early 2023. Wonder if I should leave the decals on for that cross-country trip

Awesome!

Hows the starlink treating you? I've heard mix reviews.

When do you plan on your Baja trip? I wont be able to make the February one unfortunately.

I would keep the stickers, great conversation starter!

Your Peloquin is TBD, not LSD. When one wheel is up, it's behaving like an open differential and you loose traction Wink

Yep, and you grab a couple clicks of ebrake to add some friction to the spinning wheel and Bob's your Uncle. Power is sent to the other wheel.

When do you plan on your Baja trip?

Starlink works great as long as there are no obstructions - like trees, around.

Speeds vary from 5-150mbs. Latency is very low. On average you see around 60mbs.

It is expensive - $135 a month. Right now I am not using that often. I could convert my plan to RV and pause my service - however, RV plans are lower priority - so I will continue to pay until my Baja trip.

I plan to leave in early January, take a month to get out there, stay in Baja for a month or two, then take a month to get back. I might go up the west coast and go into Canada on my way back.

Not going to be really a vacation - I plan to work during the weekdays and travel on the weekends.

I am so excited - I just got my passport this year and I have never left the country.

Oh sorry I thought LSD and TBD were the same. I just read GoWesty article -

Quote:
A posi-traction differential, also known as ATB (automatic torque biasing), is a simple and effective way to greatly increase your traction on and off-road. Unlike an "open" differential (i.e., your stock unit) that shifts power to the wheel with the least traction, an ATB senses which wheel has the better grip and biases power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.

You answered my question and my underlying interwebs question. Thank you. I'll be there in March, have a great trip.

The van is looking great, I can appreciate all of the work you've put into it!
Keep us posted on your travel plans, it'd be great to cross paths.
