That looks nice. As I sit there and look at it I ask myself, "Would I dip mine in a zinc bath if I were to go all that trouble." Anyone had their electroplated? _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

some update. since the corona quarantine im going to really bust butt on this. chassis is together and rolling, need to finish up brakes, still trying to figure out if i want to use my 4 inch beam/ disc brakes on it or not, i was kinda saving it for my split. anyway body is back from blaster and is just as solid as i thought, got all the rusty areas welded up and roughed out, then epoxy primed body, gona let it sit for a couple days and bust out the little bit of body work it needs. hopefully have it done in primer ready for final sand this weekend and start painting next week

That looks awesome 386kustoms. Takes me back to my 54 Iceland green build.
Here's a couple of pics of my car. When I saw your pics I had to take a double take thought it was my car. Looks like your L213 is dead on.
Keep up the good work and have fun.

well havnt done much to it, my father ended up passing in the beginning of the month and with the stupid virus going around and everything been just down, i did order some more parts that just came in and also got my 54 motor ready to go in after some parts get powdercoated, i did change wheels and tires, these came from cip1 and reall redlines on rear, front is smart car tires and im going to have to put redlines on them. i think the colors really starting to pop

its been a while since i have been on here but decided to share some pics of the car completed. only think i have left to do is change the interior around a bit, it had nice black seat covers that someone did and they work fine right now as my daughter is 5 and likes to kick and rub her feet on everything, so in a few years i will most likely put a light tan interior inside. running a judson kit rebuilt on the 1954 36hp engine. syncro trans. narrowed beam with disc brakes up front. besides that everything else is pretty much origional.
