I’m dealing with some adjustment issues and I have my crossbar off. I noticed that one carb arm is labeled “F” and the other “D.” Are they different? And if so, which one is which? I’d call and ask CB, but it’s Sunday.

AFAIK, they are identical, save the F and D.

TIA

One is reverse thread, and the other is standard. Use one of each per carb.

I don’t mean the down rods. I mean the arms that come off the hex bar that they attach to.

Looking at CB Performance's instructions, they say nothing about any difference in those arms; about half way down this page:

Yeah, thanks. I figured as much. It just threw me to see them labeled differently.

I got it all back together, yet my main issue persists: really bad surging just off idle that wasn’t there before my winter mods.

I lowered the hex bar to the lower mounting point so my cable doesn’t have a big bend in it coming out of the shroud. Shortened the down rods 10mm so they stayed in the middle of their adjustment. That part works great.

Just have to sort out the carb adjust and sync now.

PS: Over the winter I replaced my VW pedal cluster with a Neal gas pedal and CNC brake/clutch pedals. When I first took it out. I couldn’t believe how much faster it was. Thinking it through, I realized the way the guy had it with the OEM pedal cluster and the roller gas pedal, the Dells were only getting 3/4 throttle. That’s a log of oomph to leave on the table.
