Dumb Question....Tar board installation

OK...stupid question of the week.

I bought Tar Boards (113898740) to put on my new pans before the carpet.

They seem to have a thin layer of plastic....do I peel that off?

Yep that's probably the sticky side.

Why not call who you bought it from and ask?

As a follow-up, there was a thin layer of plastic on both sides, when removed it was very slightly tacky. I removed them before placing on the floorpans and before gluing the carpet down.
