I am looking for correct color wires for my bus. I replaced the harness a while back but I need to make some splices and I want to use the correct colors.

Maybe contact Wiring Works or Wolfsburg West and see if they'll sell you some of the specific wire.

The OEG harnesses vary slightly from replacement harnesses, for example a white/black wire may have black rings on it from VW but the replacement may have a black stripe.

Your best bet is to find a used harness and snarf some of the wires from the middle section. They will be the correct color and in great condition.

I used this guy.

https://4rcustomswire.com/products

Excellent service, reasonable pricing.

Got all five rear light wiring colors, plus Brown for adding grounds to the ancient fixtures on my '56 panel.

Red/Black, White/Red, White/Black, Black/Red, Black/Yellow, Brown
25 ft. Of each plus shipping was around $55.

The stripes don't exactly match the original patterns, and the colors are a bit bright, but I'm happy with the product.

They also sell black sleeving to reproduce the OG harnesses. Don't use shrink tubing in this application. It's just sleeving in various diameters to match the number of Wires in each section.
