| For the past several months I have been totally dripless for the first time. I changed my strainer plate out to the later model solid plate with no drain plug and am using German strainer gaskets. I also am using Gasgacinch on my valve covers with German cork gaskets and these have been dripless. It is nice to not have to remember to put a piece of cardboard under the engine when it is parked in the garage or driveway. Not bad considering all of the places that a VW engine can drip oil. |

Check your oil level. You might out.

Congratulations, good for you!
I’ve had good luck with the silicone valve cover gaskets from WW. I also just replaced the leaking main oil seal last week...with no new evidence of leaks on the drip pan. 
However, I still get one spot of oil on the drip pan under the breather tube, but only intermittently. I drive the car almost every day, but the breather tube drips a drop or two only about once a week.

Was the center plug leaking? I've never had that plug leak on any VW |
I think so. Hard to tell sometimes where it is leaking. |
