Most of the hand wringing over EV can be simply mitigated by having both technologies. ICE for long trips, EV for M-F

You can rent the ICE if you only need it 4x annually , too

A perfectly fine apple laptop with an outdated OS, and no support. Same with my iPhone, they keep updating it out of existence. Thats a bit more than a pet peeve, thats a bad word salad.

My laptop keeps reminding me the adobe is needs wants wtf, can’t do anything with it, every ten minutes or so, it hasn’t got to me so much that I’ve timed it. It never shuts up. It amazes me that it plays videos from websites but not YouTube. Wikipedia crashes. It won’t load anything enough to deal with it. 7 bad words ina row… Laughing

A few years after I bought my old grey Toyota work truck, the bed rusted through because they started salting the highways around here. The truck earned the name Rusty, the name given by my coworkers. Not long after, I found a replacement bed that is bright red, with stainless strips along the bottom. Once swapped, the truck gained some swagger and became Sexy.

I believe the name is well earned.

This will piss you all off. My wife of 28 years, names all of our cars. Unless the previous owner named it.

The white cars. “Stupid RAM” work truck. “POS BMW,” and “Finn the 74.”

Oscar the 76
Rusty the 72
Gary the 85

My girl can call the cars whatever she wants. Because of her, we have fun VWs to play with. She’s F’ing cool.

I’ll let you tell her not to name her cars because it bothers you Shocked Wink

I’m joking of course. It’s totally fine you dislike cars with names

My peeve is that I've misplaced my tie rod end/pitman arm removal tool. I replaced two inner tie rod ends on my 1971 Super in late 2021 and used it on ball joints and tie rod ends in March 2022, but now it's hiding somewhere.

Hopefully it will turn up before I need to use it again....

Or luck like mine where it'll turn up about a week after you bought a replacement and lost the receipt.

I don't name my cars. They name themselves, but only some of them.

When my incoming tech students call a “slotted” screwdriver a “flathead”.

I’ve sold retail tools for 10 years, you get the name wrong you’re wasting money.

This year I’ll just send them this link so I don’t have to repeat myself.
