I was doing a smoke test checking for vacuum leaks. Pretty confused when I saw smoke coming out of or around the alternator. I can't figure why that would be. This is on a 2 liter fuel injected bus
Thoughts?
Thanks |

Dipstick boot?
Thermostat pulley bolt?
Rocker cover? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Cooling air is blown through the alternator via a boot connected to the fan housing. _________________ I know the pieces fit, cos I watched them fall away.

Thank you for making me think about the alternator cooler again. That now makes sense to me.. When I am blowing smoke in to the system it is eventually going through canister which is attached to the fan housing and makes its way to the alternator.
Thanks again |
