Only running one because it's the same one my dad ran on the buggy '69. I like the look of them, but the rubbing and being able to check belt deflection and adjusting valves with one on is another thing in the way.

I like the vintage style

While working to fit the lower deflector tins that bolt to the bottom of the cylinder tins I noticed something. My fit problem is the ends that go under the exhaust ports. It seems clear the cylinder tins end a little too high. I noticed those ends are cut on your rear cylinder deflectors. So I'm wondering, did you find that same fit problem? Did you have to make a similar modification to your sled tins? Is your engine aftermarket tin, like mine? Thanks!

Put a nice baja style bumper on it....it will serve many purposes.

I prefer using a turbo to hide the belt....... Cool Wink :lol

Here is just the bumper....I have a hitch, oil filter and the license plate mounted to it.
You would have to purposely reach in in order to get caught in the belt.

CIP1 carries the bumper......

It also protects the back of your buggy.....I got rearended on my trip to Cali this past summer and it saved my turbo and engine from damage.....we were able to continue on instead of getting it loaded on a trailer and hauled home.

Here you can see how far it got bent up......it was straight when I installed it....
