It was very nice to see you guys at KTE.
With that rig, it would be hard to find a reason to miss the "Things Northeast" show in Rhode Island next month |

Rhode Island would be really tempting if I had any time or money left! We had a great time.
We just got home today after messing around Ashville for a couple days.
The last time I drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway was over 30 years ago from the Virginia end in a Karmann Ghia. |

Sorry I know I missed a few as people came and went, organized I am not.
Edit: I'll also apologize to any people caught in the "photographic crossfire". It's not so much photography as waving my phone around. |

Nice photos there KAmes,
If you look closely you can almost see the ground smoking in some of them!
Man was it a cooker, but glad I was able to make the show Thing or not we
had a good time, nice seeing every one again. Hope all made it home safely.

Hot as Hiawassee!
Had an uneventful drive home; just over 600 miles in 11 hours (including stops). Over 23 MPG humping the hills in VA, WV.
Next stop: Rhode Island |

It's been a long time since I did a top down road trip like that by myself, and I've only ever done it a few times. That's definitely a certain kind of thing, enjoy! |

Great show.
Someone needs to Air Condition all of North Carolina.
I planned on driving the 325 miles from West Virginia. It should have been an easy trip since our thing has working air conditioning. But the day before we left my wife told me that with her leg problems she could not make it in the Thing. Therefore in order for her and our grand daughter to go, I had to flat tow our Acapulco. Unfortunately, things like that seem to happen much more often since we reached 72 and 73 years old.
It turned out to be a very nice trip convoying with Gary Mondshine.
Thanks for a great time and show.
See you all next year.

I can still say that I followed a Thing for the last 325 miles to the show.
It's good to have you, Debby, (and Mac) back in the Thingdom. |
