Will a new style slider door handle fit the 84 Westy?

The 71/4” exterior handle is not available. Does anyone know if the 5” 85 and newer will work?

It fits ok except the very tip curves too close to the paint and can scratch it. People cut or grind a little bit of the tip away. Then file it smooth.

I am running an '85 handle on my '84 and works fine - I did not encounter the tip-too-close-to-the-body issue at all, it was a direct bolt on and despite looking a little 'short' for the handle indent area in the door, works fabulous.
