On the originals, the background would be dark grey anodized. The offset is ET40, not ET35. The replica linked to is nowhere near the quality of the original wheel (and is a different offset). The original ones are strong forged wheels - the aftermarket ones are cast. Hopefully, you have all straight stainless steel caps as they are quite costly!

Here's what a real Fuchs 914 wheel looks like. It's bare aluminum with alternating anodized sections.

I bought a set of 4 off CL years ago for $120. They were really dirty and had "may pop" dry rotted tires on them. I used oven cleaner to remove the anodizing. Then used various grades of WD sandpaper to polish to a nice shiny finish. Took hours (6 - 8 hrs) for each wheel. Fortunately, they were straight and had very little curb rash which sanded right out. All the center caps were banged up but there are nice polished aluminum billet ones available (~$100). The wheels now seem to go for $800-1000. They do take special alloy wheel (longer length) bolts that have also gotten costly.

Sold the bug for $900, iirc.
