So I threw the towel in on the motor that was in my '72 after trying to fix oil leaks.Did not know the history of it but it has been around the block a few times.

So I ordered a new 1776 from a vender in San Bernardino 2 weeks ago and picked it up last Sat.It was a 13 hr round trip drive.

I also went ahead and bought a new rebuilt FF.

Now I just need the time to get Grandpa Red put back together!

Do you know what gears and r/p are in it?

Many times it's a stock tranny with a 0.89 4th.

To be honest I don't know.
I just asked the owner if it would be compatible with the new motor.
