Festival!!!! Just about finished packing the bus, we’re headed to the Four Corners Folk Festival in Pagosa Springs for 5 nights. Woot!

^No real reason. I guess he’s just skinny and he fits the booster well. As far as the belt goes, IDK. It came with lap belts, so that’s what we’re using. Might be an issue if we get pulled over, but we’re just using what we have.

We had an awesome time at the festival! Wifeys booth did great, the bus did great and camping in the bus was great!!! The bus handled the heavy load nicely and it had no issues keeping up with traffic and no issues with the hills. The 2275 has the power! Got there Wednesday evening, emptied wifeys vending gear out of the bus and set up her tent. Then we went to vendor camping where we got our usual spot, leveled the bus and got busy with the side tent. Took me about a hour to get the tent all set up, but it’s always worth it once it’s done. From there we Festivaled for 4 days, slang jewelry, danced, ate some good food, soaked in hot springs and slept great every night. Miles finally figured out how to climb up and down the upper bunk. Next festival at the end of the month, woot!

Just when we though we couldn’t fit anymore stuff in the bus, we did.

Went to The Wines of the San Juan’s Harvest Festival in New Mexico this weekend. Bus drove awesome and wifeys booth did great!

Went camping in La Plata Canyon this weekend. Bus ran amazing and was great to sleep in. We stayed on our friends property who lives in an off grid cabin in La Plata City. We hiked, gold panned and chilled. Super fun.

We haven’t been getting out much because of all this bullshit in the world and all the summer festivals have been canceled. Just been roaching around Durango and riding the shit out of my MTB. Got 145 rides, 2,100 milies and 210,000’ vert in already this season. Too bad all the races have been canceled too.....

Wow, that's so cool. Thanks for the adventure. You do use your bus. I didn't mind going through the three pages looking for the latest update. Like, I said. Thanks for the adventure...
Oh, and you're lucky your wifes media is jewelry. Light and stackable. How many of these could fit in a VW bus? Yep, sure is a drag about all the cancelled social events...

It’s a Spacemaker tent and I bought it from a friend. The closest I’ve seen to it it a Add A Room tent from BD. It’s great once it’s set up, but it takes up a lot of space when disassembled, it takes a hour to set up and another hour to take down. I only use it when we are at multi day festivals, like more then 3 nights. Although I don’t plan on selling it I am going to downsize to the ARB awning with the wall kit. That seems more usable to me.

My buddy from Buffalo is out for 2 weeks on a MTB vacation. We’ve been riding epic trails everyday. After yesterday’s 32 miles ride (7,500’ vert decent, 2,500’ climbing) we camped in La Plata Canyon. He built a stealth camper out of one of his old work trailers. Bus is running great!!!

There’s a stage 1 fire ban here, so we chilled in the bus a bunch.

Nice bus Rich! When you get to North Carolina we need to go camping together. Make people think they are seeing double! (Which many of them actually are already at the festivals around here) lol!

Yup, that was an adventure! We were supposed to meet 3 couples for a night of camping yesterday behind Purgatory Ski Resort. It was a beautiful day, we loaded up and headed out. The directions we got were they set up a tent (or camper) on Wednesday after the creek crossing on Bolam Pass. There is really omg one road back there and we figured we find them. First we stopped at Purgatory, got Miles his season pass and a new pair of ski bibs. Then we headed into the forest to find out friends. Well, 3 hours of wheelin and dirt road driving and nothing. We crossed Hermosa Creek, didn’t see them. We continued on up Bolam Pass, with is a 4x4 road, past the second creek to the top and nothing. We turned around back down the Pass across both creeks and nothing. We ran into some people who said the saw them up Hotel Draw, we turned around again and headed up there, nothing. 🤬

Finally we said fuck it, it was getting late and we should look for a spot. But, being Labor Day weekend pretty much all the spots were taken. We saw a few buses camped in the valley near Hermosa Creek Trail Head. We figured being bus people they’d probably let us camp with them and they most likely had kids for Miles to play with. We backtracked again to the bus camp. They were all Durango people and they welcomed us with open arms. Turns out they hold an event called Colorado Westyfest, on Labor Day weekend. I know of it, but we are usually in Pagosa Springs at the Folk Festival this weekend. They said their event was canceled because the location they were gonna have it in wouldn’t let them hold the event and camping here was their next best choice. We set up camp and had a blast with our new VW friends and there were 6 kids there for miles to play with. Winning!
