For quite some time I've been wanting to get paint matching the color I had the Dormy painted way back 18 years ago. Have a local auto paint store but every time I happened to stop by it and ask about matching paint, they said to bring the paint "code" for the color. Also, back when I finally replaced the front skin, thinking that to get the correct paint would take too long, I just found something "close" to it and sprayed it so as to not drive on bare metal. Neutral

Well, recently I happened to swing by that store but this time with the actual can of paint used to paint the bus back then since the "code" was labeled on it. Then as soon as they saw it they tell me "That's enamel. You just cannot get that kind of paint here in Kalifohnya any more." So I asked if they could just get me a rattle can or 2 of the color with whatever paint I can get and they replied to get a sample piece with the color so they can duplicate it. However, they said, "there is still some paint in your can and we could put that in a rattle can!" So I says go ahead! Turns out there was enough paint left to do 7 cans! Woohoo! Dancing

Today I decided to finally paint match the front! Cool

Can't believe the paint in the can held up this freaking long! Shocked

Having done the nose color match, decided to buff out the rest of the paint to somewhat make it look all the same-ish! Anxious
