Hi, I have a 67 sedan that has 4 wheel discs. All works good, but my Ebrake isn’t holding the car. It pulls taught and on flat ground it seems ok,but on an incline or when I torque my wheels it won’t hold. There are approx 2k miles on them. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Irving

Emergency Brake Cables (between the Front Seats need adjusting) ... 2 10mm open end wrenchs.

Does your e-brake just work on the rear wheel disc pads or do you have separate brake shoes for the e-brake?

Some systems have separate brake pads for the emergency brake as well as the standard disc pads.

i can probably add some turns on the adjustment but it about 5 clicks now. also, only the pads are used in the e brake operation.

They sell cable shortening clamps/adjusters for too long cables.

So, it is dry enough to look at the car. I took the wheels off and noticed the drivers side rotor wouldn’t turn at all, but the passenger side did. The cables look like they’re adjusted the same. I wonder if the routing is correct for the cables under the car. Here are some pics

No reason to even think they should look the same thread length for opposing wheels.
Tighten up the loose wheel and try it again.
