So........running dual Solex H44/eis carbs on a 1914cc engine with a performance cam. Sorry, it was built when I bought it so that's all you're gonna get Smile New SuperDiff tranny, so I can handle whatever I give it.
Been running like a scalded cat. Developed a flat spot in 4th. Tuned carbs, timed engine, yada, yada.
Pulled the distributor cap and rotor for the umpteenth time and really LOOKED at this time.
Rotor is eating into the contacts on the cap. Shaft has 3/32nds of vertical play.
What's sitting on the engine now is Empi's 009 with electronic ignition, and the good old blue coil.
I really want to stay a with mechanical advance distributor.
I don't have enough life left to research what's out there, and why I shouldn't get a cheapo from O'Reilly's and put the electronic module from my old one in it.

Advice is welcomed!
