Hello I have 71 and was wondering on the washer switch which barb is input and which is output for the water supply? Mine is dash mounted. Thanks. _________________ i wish i had a catchy phrase but I have nothing

Hose from bottle on the center or straight nipple, angled nipple to windshield. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Just a guess, but VW shared parts among models, so maybe this older Big diagram suggests the nipple nearest the switch body goes to the nozzle:
EDIT: looks like you got a better answer posted above mine
EDIT2: This image from an ad for that year Bus shows two parallel nipples (always a good thing), and so I'll revert back to my original post:
It's worth making sure. I had them backwards on an old Bug and although it still worked, it leaked with them reversed. |

From the Bentley (Sec. 10.7, Electrical System chapter): "On the rotary-type switch, the hose from the reservoir
is connected to the endmost of the two connections." On a spare I have on hand, the end-most is labeled "B", and
the other, closer to the dash, is labeled "D" (or perhaps "O"). _________________ '67 bug: seized by the authorities
