I was lucky enough to find a early ghia tach but it has no markings on the back for what wire goes where. does anyone know what the terminals go to? 6v 5000 rpm vdo tach.

I searched the Ghia Coupe section of The Samba Gallery looking to find a photo of the back side of a tach where I could hopefully spy any numerical markings near any of the connectors.
I found a suitable photo of the rear of a tach, but couldn't easily identify any markings (with my admittedly old eyes ).
However, I was able to click on the "Search Forums For Photo" feature link which led me to the Ghia tach 6000 rpm thread from August of 2009.
Hopefully your answer can be found there.
If the information you need can't be found there, try using the forum search feature as I'm certain there's been a number of threads about Ghia tachometers over the years.
If you still can't find the information you need, then perhaps you can post a photo or two of the tach you found and someone here will likely be able to help. |

I had searched the forums but not the photo's, Thanks for explaining how you found that. In that thread they have it as (left to right)
6v pos ignition,
coil,
ground,
The tach's in that thread are close but not the same. I might have two grounds?
I will search some more.
