Doing some tie rod end replacement on my ‘70. I bought two right inner and outer ends at Parts Place in Warren, MI. They have the castellated nut and cotter pin as original. Many of the new tie rod ends have the nylok nut. Are these better and can you get an accurate torque with the nylok style?
It also had these plastic covers which I had not seen before. Anyone used these?

The covers are just for protection of the boots during shipping and storage. It is intended to throw them away.
