Here is a diagram from the gallery that shows how this connects to the fuel tank. It allows room for the fuel to expand without spilling onto the ground.
It is part number 24.

there are 2 metal tabs that hold it to the body(or that big metal cover to the fresh air plenum...dont remember)...it needs to be the highest point in the fuel vapor system to work properly
