Looks like a fun event too bad I can't commit to anything this early on. How fast does it fill up? |

I signed up a month before last year. I'm sure they will give warnings closer to full capacity. I would update thread if I saw a warning. _________________ Brandon

Alice, Jeff, and I are signed up for J/K.
Sorry Mike I didn't wait for your feedback. Alice and I wanted to go ahead and register.
Hoping to have a circle of VW here

Cool I’ll get a spot this weekend. Should be an interesting venue, figured out it’s a closed par 3 golf course I’ve actually played 15 or so years ago. The park next door has a disc golf course so I’ll be bringing those and my road bike again lots of grand rides can be done from there. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. Ah...Asheville where?
I did not see a state location...maybe I'm going blind! _________________ This free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

This is a really fun event sorry not sorry I can’t go (rent a beach house with friends on my wife’s birthday every year). Ego free and chill were the best parts last year hope it holds true to that.
Not doing anything else and live in the southeast/mid-Atlantic? El recommendo. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. "Frankie" Totaled https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=764510&highlight=carnage

I am a DINK (dual income no kids) but 100% kid friendly. Yes, there are adults being adults, but they are doing so responsibly- it's not a rave or whatever the kids today call all night dance parties. Friends have brought kids ranging from less than a year to 16. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. Can anybody say what the Volkswagen turnout is like at Vanlife? I'm an hour away and am considering going, as long as I'm not the only one with a Bus in attendance. While I'm here, does anybody know if the High Country Bus gathering still happens at Crumpler, NC? |

For the last few years, there have been around 8-12 vanagons and/or bays. Last year, I got to check out a Gipsy, which was really cool, as well as Bruce Vanner- the nicest van I've been in.
I would expect at least this many...but a really cool thing about this event is the diversity. There was everything from 120,000 dollar sprinters to people living in their Prius hanging out- skoolies, giant off road vans, sprinters, old Dodge xplorers, expedition tacomas with rooftop tents- diversity. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. High Country Bus Festival was an absolute blast this year. I spent Tuesday-Sunday out there. Buses on the River was great too! I have a lot of good footage I need to put together.
I went to the van life rally last year and I agree with Mike - there are some interesting platforms and very interesting people who do live full time out of their vans.
I know of 4 or 5 other VW's going. Pick J/K zones to park with the crew. _________________ Brandon
