Quick update...it pays to be persistent! Volkswagen Classic Parts sent me a corrected Certificate indicating my interior as "78 / Platin, leatherette". Just as y'all said, platinum!!
Now if I could only figure out the extra note under the "Special configuration" section indicating "Paris-to-Dakar Rally Equipped".... _________________ "He who is without oil shall throw the first rod." Compressions 10.5:1 |

Hey guys, I know this is an old post but I just got my certificate and it has the 456 code as well. I should probably poke around the forums to see if anyone has found anything new but, the American import option seems accurate. My ‘67 square was purchased by my mother in October of 66. I remember her telling me that she had the option to have the side marker lights and amber tail lights but choose the American style. Does this make sense? _________________ The engine in this car is located in the back as were a lot of older Volkswagon's...(as seen on e-bay) |
